Let us prepare you for the future.
20 years of experience advising, building and maintaining GIS data for 911.
After spending 10 years in the private 911 sector and the next 10 years in the public 911 sector, Jason Horning founded geosos \jē-'ō-sis\ to help others navigate the complexities of database transitions from Basic or Enhanced 911 to Next Generation 911.
Jason's experience includes:
We understand that every agency has individual GIS needs and those needs require a personalized solution. Our job is to identify and help implement that personalized solution to produce a NENA-standard Next Generation 911 GIS dataset with as little impact on other internal GIS processes as possible.
We know 911 data better than anyone.
Jason has been instrumental in the development of NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Standards having served as co-chair of the effort and as the NENA Data Structures co-chair. Jason also initiated the effort to create the NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model template and chaired the committee that established the template. Moreover, in his role as the Next Generation 911 Program Manager for North Dakota, Jason has spent a considerable amount of time, personally, building GIS data for counties, coordinating aggregation of GIS data and helping counties in his home state navigate the transition from E9-1-1 to NG9-1-1.
